Please do not attend class if you have Covid symptoms, or if you have come into recent contact with someone with Covid. With your permission I will conduct a temperature check on arrival.
Class numbers will be limited and the practice hall is quite large. Windows will be opened and, when the weather allows, the outside door to the hall will be opened also.
We will not do any partner work during the introductory course.
Like many clubs and schools, our t’ai chi classes have been conducted entirely over Zoom over the past year. Following recent Government announcements for a route out of Covid-19 lockdown, the following outlines our plans towards re-establishing regular classes.
Outdoor classes will be permitted from 29th March. Weather permitting, we will arrange socially distanced outdoor sessions in Bristol.
Limited indoor classes will be permitted from 12th April. We will offer COVID-19 secure sessions to “a bubble”. We will wear face shields and conduct temperature and oxygen tests prior to the class. Please contact us to book a session.
Indoor classes will be permitted from 17th May. We will offer COVID-19 secure socially distanced small classes. We will wear face shields and conduct temperature and oxygen tests prior to the class. Please contact us to register interest and reserve a place in a class.
I was invited to present the ‘The Constant Bear Classic’ exercise at a US/UK Cheng Man-Ching Zoom forum recently. Encouraged by the positive reception and chat questions I didn’t get chance to answer, I have just released an ebook on this practice. This is the eighth book in the NWTC ‘tai chi study notes’ series, and the first time I have released an ebook with embedded video clips. It may be downloaded from Amazon at:
Our courses moved on-line shortly after the March lockdown in 2020 and are likely to continue on-line for at least the next few months. If you have some experience of t'ai chi and would like to explore joining us, please fill in the contact form and we will get back to you.
